ON THIS NIGHT : ADRIAN BELEW
As a huge fan of guitar playing, I was excited to photograph Adrian Belew at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado. These images were taken in May of 1992 while on tour supporting the Inner Revolution album. I had been a big fan of his music going back to his very first solo album, Lone Rhino which came out in 1982, ten years earlier. I was pleasantly surprised at all the die- hard fans that turned out for this performance.

The incredible guitar playing and sounds
Adrian Belew has quite a session resume having played with David Bowie, Paul Simon, Talking Heads, Frank Zappa and of course his longstanding work with King Crimson. His guitar playing was incredible, getting sounds that you would not believe were from a guitar such as animal and bird sounds. With a crazy approach to his playing and a very liberal use of the tremolo bar, he even has a song called the Twang Bar King, which certainly is fitting for him.
