Paradise Lost concert pictures ~ Bill O’Leary

A word from the photographer

ON THIS NIGHT : PARADISE LOST

Another band I was credentialed to shoot for PIT Magazine was Paradise Lost from England. I photographed them at the Ogden Theater in Denver, Colorado where most of the heaviest metal shows were booked. Another ground-breaking genre band, they are known to be the founders of the Death and Doom metal genre and influenced the Gothic metal movement in the 1990’s. They were on tour supporting their latest album Icon, seen here in April of 1994.

Shredded Threads

An inside connection to the band at the time, a house mate of mine, David Farrow a great guy from England, his older brother was the bands manager at the time and as the band were making their mark in the United States, we formed a merchandising company to produce and manufacture the band’s t-shirts, etc. I came up with a great company name, Shredded Threads, Inc., unfortunately this lasted for only a year or so before folding up. They had a song at the time called As I Die, a truly heavy gothic sounding track that I loved.
