ON THIS NIGHT : SATAN’S HOST
Satan’s Host and Jag Panzer were two of the premier metal bands from Colorado in the early 1980’s, they also had something further in common, that was lead vocalist Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin. I first crossed paths with Satan’s Host founding members, guitarist Patrick “Evil” Elkins and drummer Rob “Lucifer” Evans at the very first truly “heavy” concert to ever come to the state of Colorado, Mercyful Fate on their Don’t Break the Oath tour in 1984. I knew right then I had met my metal brothers. We all became fast friends, I became the bands road manager, guitar tech, drum tech, photographer and all around “fifth member” of the band.

On tour
Satan’s Host recorded their debut album, Metal from Hell at the time we first met. Shortly afterwards, “Midnight Wind” was recorded as a follow up album. We toured and opened shows for Possessed, Kreator, Dark Angel and Voivod, some of the heaviest bands of the thrash and black metal genres. Today the band is huge in Europe, particularly Germany, and continues to be a cult favorite releasing album after album of extreme old school metal. Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin has become one of the genres most praised and important heavy metal vocalists of the last 39 years and is still going strong with his newest project The Three Tremors.
