A word from the photographer
With his suave good looks and voice as strong and rich as ever, he performed a set of power ballads from his Spandau Ballet days as well as classics from Bowie, U2, The Killers, and Don Henley. The crowd loved it. Particularly poignant was his introduction to his cover of ‘Somebody to Love’ as he described Freddie Mercury as his inspiration.

His set, of course, concluded with the timeless and enduring ‘Gold’; everyone, it seemed, joined in. Thanking the audience in English, Italian and Croatian, he left the stage and mingled with the guests , shaking hands and chatting to them. A consummate performance from a legend of the English New Romantics and his skilled and versatile band.

About the Rovinj Beach Polo Cup
The Rovinj Beach Polo Cup is a unique event to the region that sees Polo players from around the world come & compete in Rovinj. It is the first & only sand Polo tournament in Europe. Over the three days there is a huge variety of entertainment as well as some great games of polo being played. The arena is built directly on the shore line of Porton Biondi beach & has a backdrop of the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic. The Church of St. Euphemia, filling the skyline , looks down majestically from the old town of Rovinj.
