A word from the photographer

The ever evolving singer once again was keen to show her huge vocal range in Zagreb.
`Jazzman` was incredible and the acoustics with the heavy bass piano intro to `Love is lie` was perfect for the concert hall.

I’d rather go blind

The Blues and Soul classic “i’d rather go blind” is one of Beth`s favourite songs and she regularly performs it in concert. This version one was of the best and most powerful I have seen or heard from her. She was seated on the steps of the stage and was soon embraced by the audience. At one point she lay on the stage ,`rocking` and demanding “c`mon boys play it ” and was reminiscent of her early Dutch concerts.

Standing ovation

Beth sat crossed legged at the front of the stage and was accompanied by Jon Nichols on acoustic guitar for a powerful and moving rendition of `Ain’t No Way`by Aretha Franklin. This brought the crowd to the first of many standing ovations.

In the audience

When she asked the audience ” will you guys dance with me on this one” they were soon up on their feet. She came down from the stage and danced and sang her way around the concert hall receiving hugs and embraces. On returning to the stage for the bluesy Jazzy track “why don`t you do right?” she commented how it was her favourite part of the show and likes to feel the warmth and love.

En core

Beth returned to the stage and joined the band for the encore saying “c`mon everyone, lets get up and dance”. As the crowd obliged she burst into a rocking version of the `Ike  & Tina Turner` hit  `Nutbush City Limits`. To a standing ovation she re introduced and thanks her band  before bowing and saying “I Love you so much,God bless you, good night everyone”.

Special thanks

To Ana Marija for looking after me so well and allowing me to get some great captures . Thank you. It is hugely appreciated.
