A word from the photographer
An excellent concert by Madeleine Peyroux on her first trip to Croatia and the last leg of an extensive tour. Her 2nd track, a cover version of `You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go` by Bob Dylan was wonderful. During the night she laughed and joked with the crowd when introducing her songs and even bravely read some Croatian. As well as a few cover tracks she played a variety of songs from her eight earlier albums including `Honey Party` and “J’Ai Deux Amours” was one of two songs that she sang in French.

About Backstage Live
The “Backstage Live” festival brings together eight concerts to the Croatian city of Pula. The festival spans from May until December and takes place at two of the cities most exciting and musical and iconic venues.

The venues
In May and June the Istrian National Theater (INK) with its excellent acoustics is used. In July and August the festival then ventures outside and to the amazing setting and backdrop of Pula`s 2,000 year old amphitheatre.
