A word from the photographer

Rob Thomas played the First State Super Theatre at the International Convention Centre in Sydney last night. For one song, Midnight Oil’s “Beds Are Burning” the indigenous dancers, Doonooch Dancers with Alec Doomadgee, joined him and the band on stage. He sang many of his solo career songs but covered some great Matchbox 20 hits as well as David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance”.

Guest performance

Also joining him on stage for the finale song “Smooth”, his big hit with Carlos Santana, was Australia’s superstar Taj Farrant, a 9 year old guitar dynamo who stole the show!
