A word from the Photographer
Young the Giant’s Mirror Master tour hit Phoenix’s Comerica Theater August 11th to a wildly enthusiastic crowd. The unique risers were mirrors that reflected the audience back to themselves was definitely a one-of-a-kind stage. The band began the night with Oblivion from Mirror Master, with Sameer Gadhia starting on the top stage before making his way to the front of the stage. The rest of the band was staggered around the stage providing a tight set of music.

The lighting
The lighting and graphics were stellar, adding to an already magnificent stage and enhancing the music. “Something to Believe” was up next which got the crowd singing and dancing along. The evening was a mix of songs from Mirror Master as well as crowd favorites such as “Titus” and “Mind Over Matter.”

Highlight
One of the highlights of the evening was Gadhia’s introduction to “Firelight,” and how the meaning of a song changes over time. He then signalled the audience near the end of the song to use their phone flashlights. The lights reflecting off the mirrors coupled with the beautiful music was magical. Young the Giant is a tour worth catching!
