“El West” put on a great show last night at KWSS: “Plus 1” Show Celebrating Dani’s Birthday. The Alternative Rock and Indie band played their original music and a cover of U2’s Sunday Bloody Sunday, at the request of the guest of honour that all bands play a cover., El West has a rich sound with a great stage presence. Bryant Powell provides amazing vocals that remind me of Freddy Mercury as well as a dramatic performance. Thomas Brenneman is fantastic on guitar with his own unique sound. Ricky Powell on bass is always on the move and great with interacting with the audience. Marty Welker rounds out the group with great drumming. Every show they do is fantastic!
