A word from the photographer
Burning Witches were founded in Switzerland in 2015 by guitarist Romana Kalkuhl. During her music university studies she started her first group together with Kevin Schaffer, with whom she has recorded two albums and played several concerts.
Building the band
Jeanine Grob (bass), a long-time friend, became the first official member. At a festival Romana met Seraina Telli (singer) for the first time. It clicked right away between the two girls, on a musical and on a personal level. Seraina brought in many ideas and a lot of experience because of her studies at the music academy and her band Surrilium. The guitarist and the singer became a great song writing team right away.
The band is complete
Romana wrote to Schmier from Destruction about her new project, and the ladies brought him on board as a producer/consultant. After an intensive search and auditions The band found Lala Frischknecht the perfect drummer for the all-girl metal band.

Initially starting with nine bands in 1992 the Sweden Rock festival has grown to become one of the best and most famous Rock and Metal festivals in the world. In 2007 the festival became a 4 day event and each year there are approximately 120 different bands and artists that entertain the 35,000 crowd
