The show

Winger put on an absolutely fantastic show!  Paul Taylor and John Roth could not be at the show due to prior commitments; however, Kip jumped in on keys when necessary and Howie Simon subbed for John and the show went on!

Drum solo

There was definitely a great deal of energy up on stage and in the audience. They opened up with “Midnight Driver of a Love Machine” (2014) then shortly moved into the very catchy sounding “Easy Come Easy Go (1990) and others such as “Blind Revolution Mad (1993) and “Down Incognito” (1993) before “Rod Morgenstein” launched into his power-packed drum solo.

The ballads

The guys then slowed the pace down for a very short time and launched into two extremely popular ballads of theirs, “Miles Away” (1990) and “Headed for a Heartbreak” (1988). Winger then seamlessly transitioned to the provocative “Can’t Get Enough” (1990) and the ever-popular “Madalaine” (1988). Reb had his intense solo before they ended the show with the extremely popular “Seventeen(1988).

The Breast Cancer Can Stick It Foundation

“April Samuels”, professional drummer and founder of “The Breast Cancer Can Stick It Foundation” was also at the show. Rod Morgenstein is very active in the “Drummathon” that is hosted by “The Breast Cancer Can Stick It Foundation” and he invited April up to play the drums at the end of the show for a few minutes. More about Winger and tours

Winger toured with many bands between 1988 and 1994. In 1994, the members of Winger decided to go their separate ways for a while; however, they did reunite back in 2001 and have had many successful tours. The band took a break in 2011 while Reb was out touring with “Whitesnake”. When not touring with Winger, Kip has continued to stay busy with his solo career (acoustic shows), his 2016 Grammy-nominated symphonic work !Conversations with Nijinsky! and also the musical, “Get Jack, A Musical Thriller,  which he teamed up with Damien Gray on. With all the band members individual projects taken into consideration Winger continues to tour as much as possible.
