707 concert pictures ~ Bill O’Leary
A word from the photographer
ON THIS NIGHT : 707
I photographed the band 707 in April of 1981 at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. They were the opening band on REO SPEEDWAGON’S “High Infidelity” tour. They had a big radio hit at the time, “I Could Be Good for You” which of course they played during their short opening set. I remember them playing straight ahead American rock n’ roll and being fairly photogenic on stage as well. Many years later my images from this performance were used in the reissued first two albums, “707” and “The Second Album” out on cd thru UK record label Rock Candy Records. Once again, shooting the opening bands at bigger shows can pay off at some point in the future, you never know.
