A word from the photographer
In 2017, 7 Miles to Pittsburgh released their self-titled debut album and received rave reviews in the Dutch and European rock press. This led to a series of shows with Tyketto and a number of large festival shows in the summer of 2018. This is the presentation of the new album ‘Revelution On Hold.
About the band
7 Miles To Pittsburgh’ is a Dutch Hard Rock band. with its own style. rocking guitars and magnifying pure vocals.Expectations are high for the new CD “Revolution On Hold” from 7 Miles To Pittsburgh . 7 Miles To Pittsburgh, a collaboration between singer Andrew Elt (Gin On The rocks, Sleeze Beez), bassist Martin Helmantel (Elegy) and guitarist Joris Lindner.
The new album
The evening starts from the opener “Olympus”, the first song directly from the new album “Revolution On Hold”. Nice rock songs with some progrock influences. Support from Remco Zandvoort with his Hammond which you expect in the blues corner rather than in hard rock. “Damn” and “Bad Enough” follow one another. Many singers in the genre use the vocal cords in such a way that in the course of the evening it starts to run against the irritation limit. Not tonight. Andrew Elt has a pure and clear rock sound, no roaring screams, but a singer with a voice that sounds like a clock. Topics are addressed on social issues both important and less important schizophrenia climate changes and things worldwide .The songs from the new album sound promising. “Think”, “Brave New World”, “God Only Knows”, all great old fashion hard rock songs
